My appointment yesterday went great. I really loved my doctor with Audrey and I am so happy to have him again. At yesterday's appointment I was reminded why I love him so much. He is greatness, quick but thorough at the same time. He remembered so much from my pregnancy and delivery with Audrey. Yes, I realize he went through my file but he remembered details of which I am sure were not written in there.
I am so excited, I actually feel pregnant now. I feel so unpregnant (sorry) lately that I was becoming worried. I even asked him at the end, "so I am pregnant right?" He laughed and told me my uterus is the size of a grapefruit so he would assume yes. He did what he needed to do, said everything looks great and sent me on my merry way... to the lab for blood work.
I hate blood work. I felt like the life was being sucked out of my arm. By the time we were done my arm was nearly numb. I am terrible with that sort of stuff, I hate it so much. What is worse is you have to do it constantly during pregnancy, yuck!
Anyway, I did not get to hear a heartbeat as I had hoped but I am actually pretty happy about it since Brandon was not there. He is going to be at the next one with me when I will be getting an ultrasound and we will hear heart tones. I cannot wait! But I have to because it is not until October 24th, boo.
Everything looks great, I am feeling pretty good for 8 weeks, and I am super excited to realize I am pregnant again!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Today
I am so very excited for today! My first prenatal appointment is at 2p.m., my Mom is going with me so that she can watch Audrey since Brandon has decided not to go. Do not fret my friends, I am not one of those moms/wife's that has to have their husband at every appointment. As long as he is at the big ones, that is all I care about. So I am not sad that he is not going, in fact, I am excited my mom is going so that we can have a girls day.
After the appointment I am hoping to take Audrey to see Lion King 3D. I am still on the fence about this because she is still very young, and I do not know if she would be able to sit still. I want to and I do not want to at the same time...
I have to go to Wal-Mart too to pick up a few things. I need to get paint to finish the kids' bathroom. I am almost done and I am so excited, it is going to be so cute. We painted it before Audrey was born but since then the walls have cracked and are looking sort of yucky. So I did some wall work and textured and painted. Now I just have to paint the vanity, put the border up, and put everything back in place.
I am excited to start on the new nursery as well! I have the best ideas and cannot wait until we know whether we are having a boy or a girl. The overall theme will be the same but with slight accessory changes depending on gender.
A new baby, a fresh bathroom, and a new nursery I am so excited!
I will post tomorrow about how my appointment went. I am sure it will be pretty routing but I am crossing my fingers for heartbeat. Wish us luck!

8 Weeks and Lately
Hey friends! I am currently 8 weeks and 1 day pregnant. I am feeling pretty good except for a few minor issues. The extreme fatigue has hit me pretty hard this week but, unlike with my first, it comes and it goes throughout the day.
I am constantly hungry and after I eat my stomach hurts, it is definitely not fun. Everyday I crave something spicy and something chocolatey. I usually end up eating pickled jalapenos, or chips and salsa with chocolate milk or ice cream. It is so yummy! With all the eating I have been doing it is a miracle I have not gained any weight.
Whoever said pregnant women do not get cravings until the end of the 2nd trimester to the 3rd was a big fat liar.
Other than those two things I am feeling pretty normal. So far, this pregnancy has been so much easier physically than my first. I have not had any naseau for at least the last week or two and even though my nose is picking up on EVERYTHING, nothing is really making me sick. Woo hoo!
Oh AND, the extreme hormonal grouchiness phase is over as well. Thank goodness! My doctor appointment is on Monday and I am super excited. For one I get to be reassured that I am still pregnant. It is scary when you do not have really bad symptoms. For two I am really, really, really, really, hoping I get to hear the heartbeat since I will be 8w 4days. I probably will just end up with the usual first appointment routine but here's to wishful thinking.
After the doctor appointment I plan on taking Audrey to see Lion King in 3D, it may be a bad idea but I will not know until then. I am giving it a try anyway. I love Lion King and I hope she will as well.
Baby bumps, Im getting fat lol |
Audrey had a great time playing in the tunnels, on the slides, and having Daddy push her on the swings. I could tell she was happy to have both of us there, and so was I. I know Brandon had a great time as well. So instead of taking pictures of our happy moment, I enjoyed it.
Happy Friday!

7 Weeks
I am 7 weeks pregnant!! It is going by really slow right now, maybe just because I am so anxious to find out the gender. We are really hoping for a boy so that when we are pregnant with our 3rd there is not any pressure. We are under so much pressure to have a boy! Brandon's whole family is girls and we need a boy to carry on the Craig name. Brandon's uncle has two girls and his sister has two girls, do you see my point? I am sort of feeling girl though. . . . I hope I am wrong. However, I love my little Audrey so much I would be delighted to have a sister for her. I really want this one to be a boy but ultimately, in my perfect little world, I would like two girls and one boy.
I am feeling pretty well these days. I get the occasional bout of nausea but it only lasts maybe 5 minutes. My smelling capabilities have increased ten fold so certain strong smells occasionally trigger a yucky, woozy feeling for a moment but for the most part, I feel good.
I am a little bit tired and a whole lot hungry!!! I am CONSTANTLY wanting to eat something. With Audrey I was never like that, I hardly ate anything. I had horrible food aversions with her. I would have to sit and think about what may sound good, then when I did think of something by the time I had made it or smelled it, it did not sound good anymore. Maybe that is why I did not gain a single pound until I was 16 weeks.
I had better watch what I eat or I may be a huge cow by the time this one is born, eek! Maybe I will get all the symptoms I had with Audrey, I do not know. Considering I am only 7 weeks I still have a long way to go before my first trimester is over.
I know most of this in these pictures is bloat, I do that a lot when I am pregnant. I did not look like this with Audrey until I was about 9 weeks. Ahead of schedule I guess.

A Glow in the Dark Cat and a Wet Toddler
I read online yesterday that scientists have created a glow-in-the-dark cat. Even though I think this is wrong in everyway, look how cute it is. .... I know I am contradicting myself a bit here, but cats are cute whether they are glow-in-the-dark or not. Maybe if my cat were glowing at night I would not step on her when I am trying to get to Audrey's bedroom. She could be a night light (I am lauging at my ridiculousness, have a little humor). I still do not think it is right though.... :)
I took Audrey to the park after work on Wednesday, I thought it would be a nice mid-week boost of fun. It was, for her anyway. I HATE HATE HATE Holbrook parks. I know that hate is a strong word and that is exactly why I am using it. Every single time I take Audrey to the park I end up babysitting someone else's child. It really ruins my fun. This recent trip was by far the worst.
When we got there a child about 8 or 9 came running up to Audrey wanting to play. It was wearing a plain blue t-shirt (boy), floral embroidered jeans (def. girl), and white and black high top sneakers (neutral). I thought for sure it was a girl because of the jeans, what kind of parent puts their son in flowered jeans right?
Turns out, it was in fact a boy. And the parents were clear on the other side of the park sitting in their truck, not paying any attention to what their child was doing or even if he were still there!! This boy kept asking me to push him on the swing and asking very personal questions about my daughter. I was getting really upset and kept telling him to go find his parents.
Thank goodness other kids showed up to the park, he finally left us alone. I feel really bad saying I was creeped out by an 8 year old but I certainly was. I felt bad for him that his parents were not paying him any mind, or caring that they clearly had him gender confused. Poor kid.
On the other hand, Audrey still had a great time. The next day when I picked her up from daycare she said, "I go to park? Go to park?" Too cute she is.
It has been raining A LOT in Holbrook lately. We are loving it and so is Audrey. When she sees water she just can not resist playing in it. She loves to get rained on and I love watching her have so much fun and enjoying the simple things in life. I hope she never forgets to dance in the rain.
The Wedding Bells are Ringing
My Cousin/Sister married her boyfriend of 8 years (I think that's right) this last weekend. I say cousin/sister because even though she is my cousin, she is more like a sister to me. Lindsey and Jarred were married at Chaparral Pines in Payson, AZ. It was BEAUTIFUL. The venue was amazing, the bride an groom were amazing, and the decor, food and entertainment was amazing.
I left Friday afternoon to head to Payson and spend the last night of single life with Lindsey. It was a long drive by myself but I am so glad I went. I had a great time with my cousins, my uncle, and Lindsey's soon-to-be family.
The bartender asked her to write on the counter. |
On the day of the wedding my Mom and Parker came and brought my sweet baby girl to me. Brandon was not able to come as he was on-call at work. I was pretty lonely all night but at least I had my Audrey.
Audrey had a great time at the wedding. She played, she ran, and she danced like she has never danced before. We both had so much fun. Audrey ended up falling asleep in my arms before the reception was over but I did not want to leave before they cut the cake.
After they finally did cut the cake Audrey and I left for the hotel. It was raining so hard! Thank goodness there was a staff member willing to go get my car for me. Audrey kept saying, "rain hard, rain hard." She's too cute. The next morning we woke up, ate some breakfast and drove back to Holbrook.
I am so glad she was married in Payson, I love Payson so much and I am glad I got to spend a weekend there. I have decided that I need a friend to move there so that I have a reason to visit frequently. :)
You may kiss the bride, and that he did. |
Such a cute cowboy! |

Baby Craig #2 on the Way
EDIT 9/14/2011
Well, our secret did not last very long. The whole family was together for Labor day weekend and Audrey's birthday so we decided to tell them after Audrey's party. I am happy we decided to because I am sure someone would have figured it out and spoiled our surprise. When you are as skinny as I am, it is really hard to hide extra bloat/baby weight.
Brandon and I just found out we are pregnant, again. We bought a test on Sunday night (August 28th), as soon as I was done doing what I needed to do... Brandon hovered over it and said that he wanted to see it first. He teased me at first and said, "There is only one line, (pause) at the top." There was another line at the bottom so I am, in fact, pregnant.
This having only been two days ago, I am only about 4 weeks. And, since we do not want to tell anyone our news until we know the gender, I am going to keep this post as a draft. See, the whole reason I am writing this post is because that is what I did with Audrey. I kept track of my whole pregnancy on my blog. It acts as my "pregnancy journal" if you will. In order to keep track I need to start writing, but I also need to keep it a secret. Thank goodness for Blogger saving drafts.
I am so excited to start another pregnancy journal, I am even more excited that it is our little secret. I am DYING to tell my family, however, it will be so much more fun to keep quiet. I think it will be wonderful to tell everyone I am pregnant and whether it is a boy/girl at the same time. Our families will be so happy at the news and even more happy to not have to wait to know the gender. They may buy baby presents immediately! I'm kidding.
So, back to the pregnancy part. I find it strange that I already have bouts of nausea here and there, but it is not too bad, yet. I feel tired, I use the restroom a lot, and I get frequent headaches. I am also extremely bloated. Can you believe all of this is ALREADY happening? I looked it up and it seems to be pretty common to feel symptoms earlier with the second child. Thank goodness because for a minute there I thought I was losing my sanity.
We are very excited to be bringing another child into the world and adding another beautiful soul to our little family. The bigger the family the better. I cannot wait for Audrey to meet her little brother/sister, I know she is going to love him/her.

just pictures for now
My sweet little girl turned two years old! She is growing so fast and I am loving every minute of it. We went camping for her birthday, it was also Labor Day weekend so it was easy to get the whole Craig clan together. She had such a great time, we all did actually. We ate lots of yummy food, played at the lake, rode the four wheeler, ate some more food, played in the dirt, and sat by the campfire.
I enjoy the family camp-outs. I used to REALLY love camping, not so much anymore but I do still enjoy it. It is a lot harder to go camping with a toddler and the things you can do are a bit limited, now I get to enjoy watching her get dirty and love every minute of it.

I did this with her last year and for memories sake I had to do it again. |
